Breast Surgery Reviews

I had breast revision surgery and a Mammotome procedure at the same time

I had a Mammotome procedure and breast revision surgery at the same time 😊 Since it was done through an inframammary fold incision, it hurt less than I expected, and I’m eating better than I did after the first surgery lol About 9 to 10 years ago, I had breast augmentation with Allergan teardrop implants, and back then teardrop shapes were in style and I thought they looked natural and pretty. But as time went on, uncomfortable issues started appearing. When I wore a bra, my upper chest felt very empty, and when I wore underwear, the areola exposure was severe, so I was under a lot of stress about the appearance. I had an ultrasound and implant check at [Clinic A], and was diagnosed with implant folding. My previous implants were 290 cc on both sides, and this time I wanted a natural line with a little more volume than before, but not too round. During the consultation with Dr. Kim Jae-hong, he explained in detail my current breast condition, the inframammary fold, implant position, and the cause of the folding. Nodules were also found in both breasts during the exam, so I ended up having one Mammotome lesion removed on the right and one on the left, for a total of two, along with accessory breast tissue removal. From the time I first looked into it, I was already considering revision surgery and chose the hospital with that in mind, so after the consultation on the day itself, I went straight into surgery. They also did the pre-op tests right away in the morning, and the process went consultation consent form -> Dr. design -> surgery, which felt faster than I expected. For those who are worried about shape changes, touch, or upper-chest emptiness because of old implants, I’d recommend getting an ultrasound exam and specialist consultation first rather than just putting up with it. It has not been long since the surgery, so I do not have after photos yet, but once I recover well and the swelling goes down, I will post a follow-up about the progress and the changes again 😊
