I had my first double eyelid surgery with incisional method 15 years ago, but the line was so thick that I never liked it from right after the operation.
I had wanted a line like an inner double eyelid, but... My eyes were also too asymmetrical, and my left eye looked more opened, so I got consultation after consultation for revision, but all I kept hearing was that because the incision line was deep and there was adhesion, it would be hard to lower it. I was almost ready to give up, and the last place I visited was Girean Plastic Surgery.
Both the consultation manager and the doctor were so confident that lowering the line was possible that I did not even hesitate and decided on revision!
I wanted the line lowered naturally, so I had the incisional method plus ptosis correction done together.
On the day of surgery, I was really nervous, but the staff and the doctor kept explaining things calmly, so I think it helped ease my mind a bit.
I was extremely tense until just before entering the operating room, but since they started after sedation anesthesia, there was almost no pain, and after waking up from sedation and looking at the line while they operated, I felt even more reassured.
Right after surgery, I was surprised that I looked better than I expected. There was not much pain, and I went home and iced my eyes hard.
Starting on day 2, I think I bruise easily because the swelling and bruising came up faster than I expected. But the hospital had explained in advance that early swelling and asymmetry can definitely happen, so I was not too worried. Once the stitches came out, it was clearly easier to open my eyes than before, and the swelling went down fast 👍🏻
There is still swelling and bruising left, but for now the line has definitely been lowered and seems to have settled nicely, so I already really like it 💗 I have no idea how much prettier it will get once the swelling goes away 🥹
