I had no contracture, but I had chronic inflammation (swelling, heat, redness), so I had the silicone removed earlier first (the capsule was not removed), and this time I had the septal extension, donor rib cartilage, and ear cartilage removed as well.It was so much harder to keep the nose packed with gauze than after my first surgery... The gauze came out the next day, and the splint came off today. The columella and nostril size look symmetrical and okay, and I think the nose looking lifted is probably because of swelling. I was told that rather than it looking lifted, the tip would end up dropping too much, so I was told to wear a retainer that goes in the nostrils for 3 months. Before I had it removed, I came here every day to read reviews, worried about choosing a hospital and stressing myself out a lot, but now that it has been taken out, I feel so, so relieved. Even if the contraction phase comes, I will need to wait 1 or 2 months anyway, so for now I am going to try to relax... I will come back later to share my progress after things settle down..!For everyone thinking about removal, I hope it goes smoothly without any problems and that you all get back the happiness of everyday life.(I had it done at the same hospital where I had the surgery. It does not specialize in removal, and it is not one of the places mentioned a lot here.)

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJun 22 Anyone else whose nasal tip is not red from inflammation, but dark reddish-brown, like adzuki porridge color?
