First of all, this was my first double-eyelid surgery, and I am currently on day 3 after surgery at Yellow. I wanted elegant semi-out eyes. During the consultation I showed them Jang Wonyoung's eyes, but I asked them to make it a little thinner than that and adjust it to my eyes, haha. My eyes originally had double folds, and because they kept unfolding often, I spent years thinking about it before finally deciding on double-eyelid surgery. I am leaving a detailed and very honest review so it may help you!! - Price: I visited 3 plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam, and this one was the cheapest among them. On the consultation day I first paid a 100,000 won reservation deposit, and the total was 1.6 million won (double-eyelid surgery with natural adhesion + front and upper canthoplasty done by incision). The coordinator does push the reservation deposit a bit. (For reference, this price was discounted for leaving photo reviews on Gangnam Unni and Babitalk.) - Clinic: Compared with other Gangnam clinics, it did not feel like a newly built hospital. The waiting area was also rather small. The staff at the desk and the coordinators all looked like they had had a lot of cosmetic work done, and they were not especially warm, but not rude either. (Personally, I did not expect much warmth, so it was fine.) But the coordinator who consulted with me was kind. - Waiting time: Since I went for consultation in the morning, the waiting time was short. On the surgery day I arrived more than 30 minutes early, and the surgery also started early. - Surgery day: Fasted for 4 hours, then surgery. After going into the operating room and sitting on the surgical bed, we discussed the line and decided on it (about 5 minutes). After the surgery, I went to the recovery room, lay down and rested, then was discharged. (When deciding the line, they asked whether I wanted it flashy or natural, tried setting the line about 3 or 4 times, and asked if this was okay. Because my original double fold was very deep, they said it might not disappear completely, which I accepted and then went straight into surgery. This had already been mentioned during the consultation, so I was fine with it.) - Why I chose Yellow: Director E. noticed and mentioned the part that was my complex first. Among the clinics I visited, it felt the most honest. No extra procedures were pushed, and they said no when something could not be done. They also said not to do things that were unnecessary. When setting the line, they made it fit exactly the feeling I wanted. They mentioned asymmetry and said they would correct it. The director seemed confident, spoke only about what was necessary, and said my eyes were not that difficult. They are said to be famous for elegant semi-out eyes, and after looking at review photos, I liked the aesthetic the most. I think there is no single correct answer in cosmetic surgery. There will be many cases of both failed and successful reviews. In the end, I felt the answer was to find the clinic that suits me, so I decided based on the surgeon's experience, strong aesthetics, and where I felt drawn to. - Surgery review: I am satisfied so far. My eyes were asymmetrical to begin with, so they said they would match them, and although the swelling has not fully gone down yet, the line itself seems to have been made evenly. Also, I did not want the inner corners opened too much, but my interpupillary distance was wide, so I hoped that area would improve a bit, and they opened it by exactly the amount I wanted. Good haha. (It seems they are not the type to do very aggressive canthoplasty.) One eye has bruising, but at this stage the surgery seems clean and in good condition. The double-eyelid line was also made neatly and beautifully without any odd points. Friends who have had double-eyelid surgery also said the line was well made and pretty. I am looking forward to how it will look after the swelling goes down. / I will leave another review once the swelling goes down and it has been 2 to 3 months! haha
