Hello! I finally removed my nose splint and am leaving a vivid review. I wanted the refined straight nose line that starts crisp and straight from between the eyebrows, like Shin Se-kyung or Karina, so I showed the director photos, and the surgery was done with silicone and ear cartilage (including lowering the columella) without osteotomy!🏥 [Day of surgery] As soon as the anesthesia wore off, I was eating Before going into the operating room, I was incredibly nervous, but after hearing that the anesthetic was going in, I heard, "Please wake up~" and when I opened my eyes, the surgery was over. Until I was moved to the recovery room, I felt dazed and sleepy, but exactly 5 minutes after lying down in the recovery room, I felt completely awake because the anesthesia had fully worn off. haha Right after surgery I had no nausea at all, and my condition was much better than expected, so as soon as I was discharged I went straight to eat and devoured my meal. (It seems the anesthesiologist really handled the anesthesia cleanly and well!)👃 [Days 1-2] Cotton hell inside the nose / peak facial swelling On the next day, when I looked in the mirror, my face was swollen far more than I had imagined, which shocked me. For two days, the gauze packed inside my nose made everything feel completely blocked, swallowing even felt difficult, and at night I had to breathe only through my mouth, so my throat became extremely dry. During this period, a humidifier is essential, and you need to drink water often!📈 [Days 3-5] Swelling that goes down day by day Fortunately, starting around days 3-4, the major swelling began to sink downward and gradually subside, and by day 5, every time I woke up from sleep I could clearly see the swelling dropping noticeably. I took the prescribed antibiotics on time every day, and I also applied the ointment thinly to the incision under my nose with a cotton swab as often as needed, so the wound under the columella healed surprisingly quickly.👂 [Day 6] Finally, stitch and splint removal! On day 6, I finally had the uncomfortable stitches and splint removed! As soon as they came off, I looked in the mirror and felt inside that the crisp starting point between my eyebrows and the angle I wanted had come out really well, so I was extremely satisfied. There was one issue here: the wound under my nose healed quickly enough that I did not worry about it, but the area behind the ear where the ear cartilage was taken actually ached more and took a little longer to heal. I am being careful when showering or washing my hair, using a waterproof cap so no water gets into my ear.✨ [Current 2-week summary] After removing the splint, there was a while when a specific area between my eyebrows felt a bit firm and bumpy, and I worried a lot that maybe the implant had gone wrong. But the clinic and people around me said it was a normal stage of scar tissue (biobond) and asymmetric residual swelling that happens while the cells are healing. On the outside it is not red or painful, so I am taking it easy and letting time pass. More than anything, as time goes by, I can see the line becoming much slimmer and prettier, so I am enjoying looking in the mirror every day!
