Because I have a face shape where the side cheekbones stand out, people often told me I had a strong impression. Since my cheekbones were prominent, the peanut-shaped line stood out a lot and I always worried that my overall facial contour did not look refined. In the end I decided to have surgery, and while I was worrying about it, I DM'd an influencer I usually like after seeing her honest contour-surgery review that she paid for herself. I saw that she had surgery at Cookie and went in for a consultation ~ The clinic did not feel flashy; it felt calm and clean. During the consultation, unlike other clinics that usually recommend all three contour procedures, the director said the chin tip was optional, so I just left it out. I was worried they might push extras because it is a place famous for doll-like lines, but that was not the case. I searched a lot because many people said they had revision surgery for the cheekbone area due to weak results, and I also saw talk in a chat room that Director Jeong uses both high-L and low-L and performs surgery that way. The manager in charge also said they do only safe surgery, with no quick cheekbone method and with solid triple fixation plus pin fixation, so I thought that sounded fine. Oh, and I heard that at Cookie they also give botox during recovery so the cheekbones do not fail to unite properly. The purpose is to prevent overuse of the muscles during mouth-opening exercises or chewing exercises ~ The surgery cost was honestly a bit expensive, so I hesitated, but maybe because it is a private clinic, I liked that level of detail. I also had a drainage tube inserted, and I honestly asked why it was different from other hospitals. The manager said to think about it this way: a drainage tube is also a cost, so from the hospital's perspective, not using one is better for reducing costs, takes less labor, and is more convenient. Hearing that made sense, so I had the drainage tube and stayed one night. I said I wanted the cheekbones to be prominent but did not want a square jaw to become overly sharp, and I asked them to leave the angle under the ear. I brought printed photos of the look I wanted, and I heard they would put them up in the operating room during surgery. Around 1-2 weeks after surgery, when I looked at the follow-up CT, the osteotomy lines were really neat and clean with no extra mess. I am the type who checks everything carefully and in detail, and after seeing the results, I did not feel like the money was wasted. After the surgery, once the swelling went down, my face looked younger and softer overall, just like I had imagined. There was very little scarring, so my face felt even smaller and more natural. After surgery, when I met acquaintances, they could not tell me exactly what had changed, but they did say I looked clearly younger and that my facial proportions had become much more balanced. That probably means the surgery turned out very naturally. Every time I hear compliments from people around me, I feel extremely satisfied and amazed ^^
