Eye Surgery Reviews

I had revision surgery for uneven eyes + lower eyelid + lateral canthoplasty

Today is day 19 after surgery. During the last month of pregnancy, one eye had loosened, so I had been using double eyelid tape, but it was so annoying. That made me think I wanted surgery, and then I thought, since I’m already thinking about it, let’s just do it!!!!!! So I made a reservation right after the consultation day ˆ̑‵̮ˆ̑ I had double eyelid surgery + lateral canthoplasty + lower eyelid fat repositioning. When I went into the operating room, it was indeed cold ㄷㄷ But the nurses covered me with a blanket and took care of me in various ways, so I was grateful ᐕ When I came out after surgery, I was still a bit out of it because of the sleep anesthesia lol It felt lucky that my husband came to pick me up. After I got home, this is how I lived: 1. I heard that sleeping seated after surgery reduces swelling, so until the stitches were removed I slept sitting up. I mean not at a strict 90-degree angle, but reclining a bit. 2. I avoided salty foods as much as possible. Even normally, salty food makes you swell, right? So to reduce swelling even a little, I’ve been avoiding tteokbokki and malatang so far. (I plan to keep this up for about a month.) 3. I only ate pumpkin porridge on the day of surgery, and after that I didn’t deliberately eat foods said to be good for swelling. I just avoided foods that are bad for swelling!!! So maybe that’s why I didn’t swell too much. 4. After the stitches came out, I started light exercise. I work out on the treadmill without sweating too much and drink lots of water. I’ve been managing things like this. I’m still pretty swollen now, but it seems like the surgery went well, so I’m just waiting for the swelling to go down!! I’ll post another review once the swelling goes down ᐕ
