I was looking into fixing both my functional nose issues and my hump nose at the same time, and an acquaintance told me that even though the price was a bit high, this was the place where a celebrity whose face I really like had their surgery. I have keloid-prone skin, so I was worried about scarring, and they said it was a closed approach, so honestly I did not even shop around at other places and just went straight into surgery,,,.. Looking back now, that was pretty reckless.
What I wanted was a place that could prevent my nose from turning into a hooked shape when I smile, remove the hump, and also do my rhinitis surgery at the same time. They said they were a specialist in that kind of area, and I felt that as long as there were no major problems like contracture or side effects, it would be fine, so after the consultation I booked the date right away and went into surgery.
The consultation itself was very kind and quite long. At the time, I had very little confidence in my appearance, so it is a shame I do not have photos.. My nasal bridge was already there to some extent, and the tip was a blunt, low, soft nose that felt as if there were no bones or cartilage at all.
During the surgeon's consultation, they said they would use septal cartilage and, if needed, additional cartilage, so I did not have much burden or worry about autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage!!
On the day of surgery, they said if I sent photos of the nose shape I wanted, they would keep the photo up while operating, so after thinking about it I sent the celebrity photo I mentioned above and a photo of Gomin-si's nose.* The surgeon was great, but the person who removed the splint and took out the packing was unbelievably kind. I almost cried not because it hurt, but because they were so kind
From after the surgery until now, up to the 6-month mark, I thought my nose had gotten too high and all that, but after 6 months and until the 1-year mark, as the swelling went down a lot, it got much better (maybe I just got used to how it looked,,). Also, because of the photos I brought and because there are limits to what my nose shape can support, it did not become the exact same nose, but people around me who often talk about this kind of thing said the side profile looks like Karina's nose a lot (I do not really know).
Right now I am very glad I did it and living with satisfaction, but human desire really has no end. Lately a softer nose with a slightly upturned line has started to look pretty to me.. Still, I have no scar and no side effects, it looks good in photos, and above all, moderation is best..! I am on a daily challenge of not looking in the mirror for more than 3 minutes, so I do not get greedy Bye
