Now the swelling is almost completely gone, and every time I look in the mirror it has become so natural that I think, “Ah, this is my nose.” In the beginning, there were moments when I looked at the swelling and thought, “Is this right...?” but after 2 to 3 months, the line really started to settle clearly.
I am especially satisfied with the side profile. It is not that I have to awkwardly angle myself for photos anymore, but rather that I feel comfortable taking pictures from any angle. The broad-looking front view has settled down, so my whole face looks very neat, and even when I wear less makeup than before, my face still looks put together. I do not even feel the need to do nose shading so much anymore, and the biggest difference is that I almost never edit photos now.
The reactions around me are interesting too. Rather than people directly saying, “You had your nose done,” they say things like, “Did you lose weight?” or “You look prettier these days, what did you do?” That is exactly the kind of change I wanted, so I am even more satisfied.
What I feel now is that not being greedy and designing it to suit my face was truly the right choice. If I had gone with a nose that followed a trend, I think I would have found it awkward by now, but at the 3-month mark it has only become more natural, and that makes me feel at ease.
