Time really flies. It has already been four months since my rhinoplasty revision at Naturalism. I had the surgery again because I wanted to correct my dorsal hump and crooked nose, and it seems the major swelling has almost gone down now. From the front, it looks very natural and seems to have turned out close to the look I wanted, so I am satisfied. From the side, because I went for a slightly more glamorous style, it still feels like there are faint signs of surgery, but overall it keeps a natural mood, so I am happy.
Still, after rhinoplasty, the inside of the nose definitely feels more sensitive and weaker. So I am especially careful when blowing my nose. After surgery, I expected my crooked nose to be perfectly corrected, but there is still a slight crooked feeling left. I know that too. Even though I heard from the consultation day all the way to the surgery day that congenital asymmetry is hard to solve with nose surgery alone, it is hard not to feel a little disappointed. Still, my face looks much more refined than before, and the overall balance feels better.
Before, my nose looked rather blunt, but as the bridge line became neater and the tip slimmer, my impression seems to have changed in a more polished way. In the early stage after surgery, I even thought maybe I should have made it a bit higher, but as time passed, I realized that rather than making it too high, it became natural within a range that suits my face, and that actually makes me more satisfied. If only the nose became too high and sharp, that would probably have caused stress in a different way. I heard that the shape and line can still change as swelling goes down for up to six months after surgery, so I plan to keep watching it carefully. I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out.
