It was a day when I lost all sense of time First of all, they said the surgery went well. The people who read my post know, right? Mine was a case where it was removed because it got damaged,, But today the surgeon showed me photos from the operation and explained them, and I really felt it was the right call to take it all out.
First, I want to say that the surgery was really hard for me (I may be an exception, so please don't assume everyone is like that). I had been thinking the surgery would take about 2 hours and 30 minutes, but it actually took quite a while. There was a lot of bleeding, and the inside of my nose was worse than expected. The anesthesia barely worked, they said they had to do it several times.
Hearing the sounds was fine. But I could feel every time they touched my nose, and the painful sensations came through clearly at times, so I was dying inside. I kept telling the surgeon to give me more anesthesia, yelling that it hurt, writhing around, and then whenever it got better I would wonder when it would end, trapped in that endless loop.
I was definitely dazed, but I do not want to feel those sensations again. Anyway, even in the middle of that, the surgeon kept working quietly, and I remember them saying there was a lot of bleeding and that it was almost done.
Thinking about it now, the fact that I did not swear is something else..;;
During the consultation before going into surgery, they smiled and said, "You must be nervous, right? Don't worry, it'll turn out well," and they were also puzzled again by the damaged silicone They explained everything once more and said that the skin on the upper part where my nasal bridge had broken was very thin, so they would do it in a way that would put as little strain as possible on that area. Then I went into the operating room. Even when the surgeon was drawing my nose, they explained again what they would do.
I was under sedation for a moment, and then the events of when I was struggling began Also, I felt the office manager was kind, but the operating room staff were great too. Then, while I was using a cooling pack in the recovery room, the surgeon came and showed me the surgery photos and explained them.
I had thought all along it was just silicone + the end of the septum, but apparently there was Medpor at the tip of my nose too? The silicone was quite thick and long, and the Medpor was also large. Since the capsule was a case where it could not all be removed, they did not remove everything. They also removed scar tissue, the septum, and did a good job with the nasal repositioning. They asked how much alcohol I can handle, and when I told them, they said it would make sense if the anesthesia had not worked enough ^^;;
After everyone, including my guardian, heard the explanation and looked at everything, I went home~! For reference, I also got medication for contracture. It was included because I had a slight allergic reaction during the antibiotic test! It was expensive.. Thanks to the Medpor, I had to pay an extra fee too~! Having to keep the nasal packing for 7 days feels overwhelming.. Even after getting it removed, I am already worried about the shape and the skin. I feel relieved on the inside now that it is out, but it feels like the real start begins now From now on, I will post the changes as a full series!
