Breast Surgery Reviews

One week after surgery review

At the end of May, I had Mentor Xtra implants placed at [Clinic A], 400 on the left and 430 on the right. I had a dual-plane approach with an inframammary incision. Before surgery, I was a B cup with no upper fullness. From the day of surgery until about day 3, even sitting was uncomfortable. Probably because my whole body was very swollen, when I sat down my swollen belly got compressed, which made my stomach ache and feel bloated. But staying standing the whole time made my legs hurt and felt tiring, so I kept sitting down and standing up I also could not sleep properly.. I leaned from my head through my upper back against a triangular pillow I bought in advance and dozed off at about a 30-degree angle. Also, it was hard to use strength in my arms, so when I had to push a door, I used my torso instead of my arms lol. For pulling or lifting, I moved in a way that tried not to put any strain on the pectoral muscles, using only the arm muscles as much as possible. I heard that people can wash their hair carefully from the day of surgery, but I was scared, so for the first week I only washed my lower body. I wiped my upper body gently with disposable shower wipes, and had my hair washed at a salon. After a week, I went back to the hospital for a checkup, and the director said my body was extremely swollen and told me to keep wearing the upper band. Since it was an inframammary incision, I went expecting to remove the upper band after a week and feel much more comfortable They took off the compression bra and helped me put on the bra made by [Clinic B], and the director adjusted the hooks and straps herself, so I could feel that they were really paying attention. She said that from now on I could sleep flat on my back without elevating my upper body. Still, I slept on the triangular pillow for a few more days before switching to a regular pillow. Lying flat felt like it was pressing on my chest and made me feel tight I can shower my upper body now too, but I was told not to scrub hard, just to wash gently. And I received CAPS for the first time. The place where I had surgery offers unlimited CAPS, so I can go anytime, but because of my schedule I can only go about once a week, so I plan to go at least weekly. Other people say CAPS makes the breasts much softer, but I still do not have the courage to squeeze my own breasts, so I could not really feel the difference.
