Breast surgery review
Specs 163 cm 54 kg chest circumference 80 Wanted Motiva Demi shape UIU Breast base 13 to 13.5 Asymmetrical breasts. Slight pigeon chest. Left bone protrudes Need to use different sizes on each side.
Left 320, right 340, then On the day of surgery, my husband said if I was going to do it, I should go bigger, so I went two sizes up.. (The director also recommended going bigger than the size I first chose because the breast base was large enough that there would still be room after insertion, and the size would get smaller once the swelling went down haha.)
⭐️Final size was left 360, right 380.⭐️
Day of surgery (came with my husband as guardian) 12:00 Arrived - paid the balance - pre-op consent form (other explanations) Changed clothes, washed up, and waited in the ward 13:00 breast ultrasound - size recheck (with husband) I had planned to do an axillary incision, but for faster recovery because of childcare and housework, I changed to an inframammary incision before surgery.
They put in an IV on my arm and checked my ECG, then anesthesia started and I fell asleep. When I opened my eyes, it was over.
Because I kept hearing them wake me up, I tried to wake myself even though I was sleepy. They said to take lots of deep breaths.
15:00 I gradually started to feel the anesthesia wearing off. At first there was no breast pain, but then as the painful area spread, pain started. Receiving analgesic drip and other fluids
After 16:00 they gave me water, so I drank water and ate candy too (still not allowed to sleep) 17:00 I had read reviews saying the back and lower back would feel strained, and that was exactly how it felt. As the painkiller went in more, I felt like I could survive better because lying down made the pain less. (Writing this review...) 18:00 I was told porridge would be served at 7 p.m. (meals available 4 hours after surgery), so I tried to lie down and get a little sleep.
👍🏻The motion bed is so nice, and the ward is really good. The director came by 2 to 3 times from right after surgery until now to check whether I was okay, and the nurses also checked on me 👍🏻

7:00 - Woke up 8:00 - They quickly increased the remaining analgesic drip rate Much better than yesterday But the right breast cleft is hot and feels like it’s going to burst... kind of like the lingering ache after a C-section? Bending over is still too much... Success: walked for 20 minutes in the ward! It was fine up to 20 minutes, but after that it started pulling so I lay down again 🥲
📍Things that were uncomfortable
* The compression bandage feels too tight * Sitting makes the breast cleft pull and hurt * My back gets pressed and hurts too much * My throat is dry and sore
9:00 - Compression bandage removed + IV removed Just taking off the bandage made me feel like I could live again lol 😆 Breathing became much easier too
9:30 - Discharge 10:30 Gangnam Station -> Suseo Station transfer / ate a simple lunch Even with painkillers, it still hurt. The whole chest was throbbing Very swollen and tense, probably peak swelling 😭
15:00 - Arrived home / took 2 Tylenol The right breast cleft feels like it’s burning hot, and the whole area feels heavy and tight
I’m walking a little every day, and I recommend walking ⭐️ But you have to walk slowly, and if you walk at a normal pace you get out of breath;; After climbing stairs I’m panting haha..
📍What’s possible Except for using the upper body for exertion actions that strain the chest, using the lower body and arms is free, so daily life is more possible than I expected. I’m not sure if it’s because of the painkiller, but at this level... it’s bearable(?) But when will the hot, burning feeling in my chest get better... haha Waiting for day 3 and day 7☺️
