I had it done because I heard canthoplasty would make my eyes look bigger and softer, but it ended up making me look completely miserable, ffs.. Even without looking closely, the outer corner looked like it was torn downward, and honestly I thought to myself, wow, this is not it. So many people, even my friends' boyfriends, thought something was wrong with my eyes that I could not wait the six months they said I would need, so I immediately looked into hospitals, went for a consultation, and had an early reversal. It has been 3 months now. The first one is the most recent photo, and if you compare it with the one before surgery, it has changed a lot, right? The white part under the eye is not showing too much, and the shape of the outer corner is much more natural, so I am insanely, insanely satisfied. When I was looking for a hospital, the most important things were the eye shape and no visible scar. This place seems to design the eye shape to fit each person, whether on blogs or cafes, and because the scar is not visible, I went there thinking I would just give it a try. But it settled into place and turned out prettier much faster than I expected, so I get emotional every time I look in the mirror. I also included the photo I took right after surgery so people can compare the beginning stage with later on. There is some bruising and the eyes look red, but that really did not last long. I was also worried because it seemed more swollen than I expected and the outer corner looked too red, so when I went to get the stitches removed, I almost cried while asking what had happened. They said that can happen in the beginning, reassured me, and even showed me before-and-after photos of other people's surgeries to convince me it would be okay. I fell for that too and held on with cold compresses, and it really did get better quickly. People who are going to have a reversal should just watch it for about a month... do not become a woman crying in the consultation room like I did...
