I went for a consultation for nose revision surgery. I thought it might be inflammation, since the tip of my nose was swollen, so I called about four plastic surgery clinics in Gwangju, and only this place told me to come in. The others all told me to contact the hospital in question.
Anyway, the front desk staff were kind, and they said it did not seem to be inflammation, but that the septum was pushing outward. They said that if I do revision surgery, they would leave the septal support and use ear cartilage for the tip, then add autologous dermis on top.
And what I had only thought was inflammation turned out to be something I had not expected at all: they said it seemed like contracture was progressing. Looking at old photos, the tip of my nose really had been lifted a lot. It is sad, but I am glad I found out before it progressed any further.
