I had a failed lateral canthoplasty experience 10 years ago, with no effect and only a tiny scar, so I had a lot to worry about. My eyes are naturally small and the outer corners are quite upturned, so I spent about 2 years thinking about it to improve the impression of looking fierce, and finally decided on surgery. After almost 2 years of researching hospitals famous for lower canthoplasty, I narrowed it down to 3 places and went for consultations, and in the end I decided to have it done by Director Shin Jae-hoon at Si-seon Plastic Surgery. He confidently explained everything while matching my eye shape, so I booked surgery right away without much hesitation. I did not want eyes that looked too obviously sad, so I asked for a natural result, and the outcome is beyond what I imagined, I love it so much! I was worried because there are many reviews saying the aegyo-sal disappears or the back incision area lifts up, but fortunately I had none of those symptoms. Until 2 weeks after surgery I had conjunctival edema, so I think I was putting in artificial tears almost once every 10 minutes. There was a tight feeling when I blinked, but it was not pain, and otherwise there was not much discomfort. It has been a month now, there is still a little bruising left in my left eye, and I am using artificial tears about 4 to 5 times a day. They said I should not need them after about 3 months, so I am watching the progress. I will post a review! The hardest part of this surgery was that I am so timid that I had to stay awake and watch the process the whole time T_T In between, they had to open my eyes and check the shape, so it could not be helped, but even with anesthesia I could feel the pressure and pulling. I was not supposed to move my body, but I kept flinching without realizing it, so I felt really sorry after the surgery T_T The change I feel myself is big, but the reaction from people around me is really amazing. I keep hearing that my eyes look much bigger and gentler. Strangely, maybe because there is less empty space in my face, even though I stayed home for 3 weeks and gained weight, people around me asked if I had lost weight too. I am 100% satisfied with the eye-widening surgery, and I feel like why did I only do it now.
