After double-eyelid removal surgery at the previous hospital, my eyes returned to how they originally were, so one eye had a natural semi-out double eyelid and the other was a monolid, making them asymmetrical with thin skin. At first I planned to only do the monolid side, but the faint crease on the inside of the natural double eyelid was also something that bothered me, so I asked about that too. It originally wasn’t there, but I thought it might be an in-out adhesion from the first surgery, so I asked. It was very faint and short, which bothered me,, but I just had to live with it haha. Other hospitals said that even if I did stitching it wouldn’t be solved and I’d just have to live with it, but this was the only place that said, “If we stitch it, it will look softer.” So I asked them to stitch it exactly like my natural line and went ahead with the surgery. But the result was set slightly higher than my natural line, or maybe because of the stitching, the crease on the inner corner of my eye got worse, and it got to the point where the crease was visible even when my eyes were closed lol. The line also became thicker than my natural line, so the amount of iris exposure decreased and my eyes became even sleepier-looking than before. They turned out worse than my original eyes, so if it was going to be like this, I wouldn’t have done double-eyelid surgery.. Since my eyes already had a lot to lose, I’m close to losing my mind. I had the stitching done because I was told the crease could become less noticeable. I went to another hospital and they said it was a situation where it shouldn’t have been stitched. They said, if you didn’t want that line to get longer, you shouldn’t have stitched it. And even though it was buried sutures, a lot of white scars remain. Anyone can tell I had double-eyelid surgery, and when I apply sunscreen that area shines glittery lol. But this hospital in general seems to have a lot of talk about scars; I think that’s my fault for not researching enough before going. I asked for the suture removal, but they said I’d have to pay. Even in the photos taken at the hospital, you can see that the crease got deeper and longer, but I have to pay for this too..? The consultation said one thing, but the result is different??? I don’t know. I don’t think I can get the suture removal done here, so I’m just looking into revision surgery at another hospital for lowering the line with incision. Please do your research before going. If I upload photos here, everyone says that crease at the inner corner of the eye would be stressful ^^ lol And also, on the day of surgery, the director suddenly had to go to a conference, so the first-time surgery was delayed by several hours. I just ended up coming early and waiting.
