I had double eyelid surgery using the buried method when I finished middle school, but enough time had passed that it had loosened, and if I were to have it done again, I wanted a fully defined out-fold. After consulting with the director, I wanted an incision if my eyes were suitable for it. The director said buried sutures would also be fully possible, but since I had already had one experience with it loosening, I said I still wanted an incision. He said eye correction and epicanthoplasty were not necessary, so I had lateral and lower canthoplasty together.
It has been about 6 months since the surgery, and I did worry a bit that the incision line might look too artificial, but I really think a director with good reviews is different. Even though it was an incision, it looks so natural, and the lateral and lower canthoplasty healed so naturally too that the current line and length are exactly right. I keep thinking I should have done it sooner. The director is very kind and nice. I think he has a lot of experience, and I was wondering whether to do my nose with him too, but for now I only did my eyes, so maybe around next year I will consult him for my nose as well. I think it is better to trust one surgeon with everything, and I am satisfied because both my current eye shape and the director I met turned out to be such a good match.
