I had nose surgery 5 years ago, but last year I started developing contracture, so I had revision surgery this time. I thought I would never need revision surgery like everyone else, but researching revision rhinoplasty caused me so much stress. Enough to make me lose hair in patches!! I think I looked into every hospital known for revision rhinoplasty. I went to 5 consultations, and among them I chose a hospital that could remove the contracture and still give me the shape I really wanted. When I had my first nose surgery, I used silicone... This time, I had autologous costal cartilage. I thought harvesting the costal cartilage would be extremely painful and take a long time, but although it did hurt, it was not to the point where I could not bear it. Thankfully, the surgery ended well and I am very satisfied with the shape. My mind is finally at peace, T_T Most of the big swelling has gone down and only the residual swelling is left, but from what I can see, it seems to have settled in well.
