Eye Surgery Considerations

Review of GDS (formerly)

The manager with the short bob haircut and a bit of age. She responds warmly with a smile, but subtly asks whether you have been to other hospitals and then inflates the price. The hospital website had a cheek liposuction event price of 700,000 won. When I visited, she used the standard price sheet and quoted 900,000. When I brought it up, only then did she say, "Ah~~ you saw 'that'?" The manager is extremely skilled at inflating prices and handling clients. The manager quotes the price as high as possible. The director is conservative, defensive, and safety-oriented. On the day of surgery, when I asked them to do the area I had paid for (the cheekbone area), they said it was not possible.. They canceled the surgery on the day and refunded me, citing the reason that during pre-op design, without any mention, I had eight days earlier had a calcified lump in a different non-overlapping area removed with a cannula. Even when the manager inflated the price, there was no consent or warning. Also, having you just wear the surgery gown over the everyday clothes you came in without changing is a bit off. They canceled the operation, so I never actually had the surgery and do not know how skilled they are. I went after seeing an advertisement for a cheap price, but that was not the case. (manager) The director is honest. Rather than saying something cannot be done and then just doing it anyway, or saying "I will take care of it" and then not actually doing it during surgery, he clearly says "it cannot be done". But even if the price were low, I would at least try a conservative, minimally invasive procedure, and there seems to be a gap between the simplified service/system feel and the cost (local anesthesia, simplified changing procedure)
