I’ve always been stressed about my face shape, and my facial contours stood out in photos every time, so after a lot of deliberation, I ended up getting 2 types of contouring surgery. Before surgery, I was really worried about complications and pain, but in the end I recovered without any major problems and I’m satisfied! Right after surgery, of course there was swelling and some discomfort, and especially until the 1-month mark my face felt very puffy, so it was a little frustrating. Still, as time passed it gradually became more natural, and around the 3-month mark the swelling started going down noticeably faster. Now I’m at 4 months, and most of the big swelling is gone and my jawline feels much more refined. There is still a little residual swelling, but in daily life it’s almost not noticeable. People around me usually didn’t know I had surgery and mostly asked if I had lost weight. I also heard that my overall impression became softer, and the biggest satisfaction is that I feel much less stress when taking photos than before. In the past I used to worry a lot about being photographed from certain angles, but now that burden is clearly much lighter. The recovery period was better than I expected too. After about a week I was able to manage daily life without major trouble, and the discomfort gradually decreased over time. In the beginning I was careful with food and worked hard to manage swelling, and I think that also helped my recovery. During the hospital consultation, they explained everything I was curious about in detail, which put me at ease, and I liked that they checked my progress carefully after surgery as well. For anyone considering contouring surgery, I think it’s better not to be too scared and to get enough consultation before deciding. For people who, like me, were stressed about their face shape, I think this surgery can be very satisfying!
