It has already been three months since I had rhinoplasty at Lowell. It feels like just yesterday I was worrying while looking at my swollen face on the day of surgery, but time really flies.
The reason I decided to get rhinoplasty in the first place was that I had almost no bridge between my brows, so my glasses always touched my cheekbones. My nose was low, which stressed me out, and the tip was low and droopy too, so I finally made up my mind to have surgery.
The reason I chose this hospital was that Lowell is not a large hospital, and I liked Director Kim Jae-yoon's detailed consultation. Also, the price was exactly as listed in the app, which gave me confidence. So I set the date right away and had the surgery, using donated costal cartilage and ear cartilage.
Honestly, I thought that by around the three-month mark all the swelling would have gone down, but the residual swelling has not subsided as much as I expected, so I feel a little disappointed. Still, thankfully, the swelling between my brows seems to have gone down completely now, and the bridge line has started to look natural and smooth.
The tip still has a lot of residual swelling, so it feels firm when touched, and visually it still looks a little blunt. I am just waiting for the swelling to go down, trusting that time will take care of the nose.
Still, because the bridge line settled first and gave my face more dimension, these days I do not worry at all about angles when taking selfies. Before, whether facing forward or from the side, I was desperate to hide my flaws, but now even if I just snap a casual photo, the bridge of my nose comes out nicely, which makes taking pictures fun.
The tip swelling is going down slowly, so I feel impatient sometimes, but since they say it takes care from six months to a year, I am trying to relax and wait a little longer. I will post another update around the six-month mark~!~
