Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

One month after square jaw + masseter reduction + cortex removal ~

Day of surgery - Speaking as someone who has had many kinds of cosmetic procedures... I was worried about contour surgery type 1 (square jaw + cortex removal + masseter reduction), but unlike what I expected, there was no pain at all... It was done under sleep anesthesia with an incision behind the ear! (No general anesthesia, no drain, and no hospitalization were big advantages.) The director, manager, and staff all gave very thorough consultations, and there was no overtreatment!!! I lay on the operating table, had one more consultation with the director, and before I knew it I was asleep and it was over when I woke up! Just like the reviews said, there was almost no pain... My jaw didn't hurt, but the outside of my neck started swelling, and by evening the bruising spread badly around my lips and neck... In terms of jaw pain, it was only a dull throbbing that was bearable, about like after eye surgery... I came home, ate porridge and even soft bread, then took my medicine!!! I even brushed my teeth that day with a baby toothbrush!!! But the swelling kept getting worse... I kept doing ice packs all night... The discomfort from swelling was much bigger than the pain Day 1 - The first thought I had was, "Could I even go to work..." The people who said they weren't swollen much were surprising... Even though there was no intraoral incision, maybe because they removed the cortical bone and muscle? My whole mouth was swollen and the inside was covered in bruises... I did as much icing as possible, and on the surgery day I woke up almost every hour to ice it, so it went down a little compared to the day of surgery... Still, the swelling was at an all-time high... Day 2 - I got the date wrong and took the tape off While rubbing with lip-and-eye remover to remove the tape, it came off very smoothly!!!! I didn't feel any pain at all while taking it off. The swelling was much less than yesterday. I could go to work with a mask on, but there was a lot of bruising and swelling around my mouth and neck. Day 3 - Because I took the tape off early, I bought a more comfortable compression strap and slept with it on!!! There was still lots of swelling and bruising, but it wasn't bad enough to interfere with daily life~ The bruises went down below my neck. I looked like a woman who had tried to end her life and failed... Because of the bruising on my neck, I wore a mask like it was hanging from my chin for two weeks... The big swelling went down a lot after about a week. One month in - I still have swelling now, and people around me don't seem to notice unless I say something. I still have some bruising around my mouth, but makeup covers it! Maybe because of the masseter reduction? Opening my mouth wide is still hard. When I eat outside, I drool while eating, and I still brush my teeth with a baby toothbrush. There is fibrosis below both ears on the left and right... Right now, this fibrosis is my biggest worry... It'll loosen over time, right?? Did everyone get fibrosis after contour surgery??? I need to go get it loosened, but I don't have the time, so I've been doing home care with high-frequency treatment and heat packs often.
