I used to live with a derogatory nickname that I can't even bring myself to say. I'm too embarrassed to reveal what it was, so I won't tell you. After nose surgery, my impression changed completely, but some people said they don't want their impression to change too much? What??? I got the surgery because I wanted a total change. My columella was almost nonexistent, and the tip of my nose was short and extremely upturned. From the front, my nostrils were flared sideways and asymmetrical~ To sum it up, I only had one nose, but there were several problems: 1. Columella too short 2. Short nose length 3. Upturned nose 4. Large, flared nostrils 5. Asymmetry on both sides 6. Low bridge Even just listing them briefly, that's six issues. Honestly, aside from my nose, the rest of me was passable, right? But I always messed things up because of my nose. During the COVID days, for example, since everyone was wearing masks, even if I got a number or went on a blind date, things would all fall apart once we got to a meal where we had to take our masks off... It's a bad thought, but I even wished masks would stay part of the atmosphere like that forever... Even people with a nose complex say things like their side profile is okay, their front view is decent, but I had no confidence in either the front or the side and hated both. In the selfie-editing days, I used to fix the nose first... Then I thought, I can't spend my whole twenties like this, I should try dating at least once this year!! So on impulse I started booking consultations at every famous nose-surgery clinic I could find. But it happened to be peak season, and the well-known clinics even made me wait several weeks just for a consultation... So I made the reservations, and in my head I did have some impulsive feelings, but as the consultation date got closer, I kept telling myself: if by then I still strongly want nose surgery, then I'll really do it. So I went on with my daily life... Time passed, the consultation day at the clinic quickly approached, and I was still searching every platform for nose surgery reviews, so I attended every consultation I could... I searched for clinics known for bulbous nose correction and went there, and after reading reviews I had already decided on my second-choice clinic in my mind. All the consultations were handled really well, so the two places I had chosen in my head never changed. As far as I remember, the estimate was for an implant + septum + donated rib cartilage + bulbous nose correction + alar reduction. The implant wasn't the usual silicone but Moriet silicone, and since they said it had a lower chance of causing inflammation or contracture than regular silicone, I had the surgery with that. It's not at the stage where inflammation or contracture would happen yet, but it still feels reassuring. Most importantly, didn't the result come out so well? From the front and the side, I don't feel like I lose to anyone now... My friend says she wants to introduce me to someone, and I'm already picking out clothes before even knowing who the person is... And maybe it's just in my head, but after surgery my nasolabial folds seem less pronounced than before, so that slightly sour-looking impression? feeling has disappeared too. That's just my own theory, so everyone should look at the photos and judge for yourselves. And just because my nose changed dramatically and I like it doesn't mean I'm promoting plastic surgery. Everyone knows nose surgery should be thought through carefully, right? Of course, in the early stage after surgery my throat hurt and it was hard even to swallow water, so it was tough. But after enduring all of that, I'm satisfied - that's what I'm saying.
