At first there was so much swelling that I could not tell the before-and-after difference, but usually stitches are removed after a week. In my case, because the skin around the alar area was thick, the doctor recommended removing them almost two weeks later! At first it felt really stuffy and hard, but after the stitches came out at 2 weeks I could clearly feel with both eyes that my alar was smaller lol People around me often say that my nostrils got smaller too, and when they ask where I had it done, which doctor did it, and say the cost seems really cheap for that level, I get compliments like that lol It also makes me feel good and my satisfaction with the surgery is high~ Highly recommend alar reduction!
