Nose Surgery Reviews

3rd revision nose surgery, 2 weeks post-op review

I started looking into nose surgery because the implant from the nose surgery I had over 10 years ago began protruding. Since this would be my third surgery, I went in with the mindset that there would be no more revisions this time. I spent a lot of time searching online and offline and got consultations at about 6 places that were fairly well known, but the price was high and the mucous membrane was already damaged, so I was anxious about the surgery itself too, and even though the prices were expensive, there wasn't a doctor who confidently explained things, so I couldn't find a place that truly felt right and kept hesitating. While searching online, for some reason I found a place that felt right, and that was RU Plastic Surgery. Before I even went for the consultation, I somehow already felt like I would end up doing it there... On the day of the consultation, sure enough, after meeting Director Kim Hyun-ju who spoke with confidence, my previously anxious feelings melted away and I felt an unexplained sense of relief that this was a place where I could trust my nose. The manager in charge also helped make the consultation comfortable. After 2 surgeries, my implant had protruded through the mucous membrane, and after consulting several other hospitals, many places said the surgery would need to be done in 2 stages. There was also a place that said it could be done in one shot with a revision 6 months after removal, but they did not speak with confidence. Since autologous rib cartilage was recommended, I decided to do the revision using silicone for the bridge, autologous rib cartilage for the tip, and autologous rib cartilage on the mucous membrane as well. Seeing the doctor's confident attitude made my anxiety disappear, and as expected, once I saw my condition through the swelling and treatment process after surgery, I felt this was a really skilled place and was very happy~ The pain from the autologous rib area was also fairly mild, so I'm satisfied..! The nose shape is still only at 2 weeks, so there is still swelling, but I think it turned out well~ I'm grateful to the director for finishing the surgery with no major pain
