Eye Surgery Reviews

Incisional eyelid correction and lower blepharoplasty, one month in~

I’m leaving an honest review in case it helps anyone who’s thinking about surgery. I had incisional eyelid correction, plus upper cheek and under-eye surgery together.

My eyes always looked really sleepy, and my under-eyes were hollow with pretty bad dark circles, so I was always told I looked tired. What I liked most during the consultation was that they didn’t push a bunch of unnecessary procedures and instead explained only the parts that were truly needed for my face. We decided to improve the eyelid-opening strength with eyelid correction, and to focus the under-eye work on fat repositioning.

On the day of surgery, I was honestly really nervous, but it finished faster than I expected and there wasn’t much pain. Even after the anesthesia wore off, it felt more like stiffness and discomfort than actual pain. From day 1 to day 3, swelling and bruising were the worst, and especially the under-eye bruising lasted longer than I expected. Still, after about a week, the major swelling went down and the line started to show. I could clearly feel that my eyes looked sharper, and the sleepy impression improved a lot.

The under-eye area especially became more and more satisfying over time. Once the hollow part was filled in, my whole face looked much more lively, and people almost never say I look tired anymore. Since I also did the upper cheeks, my midface feels slightly lifted, so my face looks softer too. Around one month in, the result became much more natural, and people around me often said something looked better but they couldn’t tell exactly what I had done. That was exactly the feeling I wanted, so I’m even happier.

Now makeup goes on really well and my stress when taking photos has dropped a lot. More than anything, the biggest change is how easy it is to open my eyes. People who are worried about surgery usually fear looking too artificial, right? But if you plan it well to fit your own face, it really can improve things naturally, so I genuinely recommend it. If you get through the recovery period well, I think it’s definitely a surgery with very good results!
