Wanted a puppy-like eye shape.. got revision eye surgery~

First of all, I was a bit of a special case. Most people say that when they get revision surgery, they usually lower the crease, but I wanted to make mine higher instead.. My eyes were small and felt a bit cramped, so I had my first double-eyelid surgery. At first I was really satisfied? My eyes looked clearer, and I even enjoyed taking photos lol But as time passed, the crease gradually got thinner and my eyes started to look like they did before Especially when I didn't wear makeup, it was kind of ambiguous whether I even had a double eyelid, and that stressed me out. Looking back, because it was my first surgery, I worried too much about making it natural no matter what, so I think my biggest regret was setting the crease too timidly.. So for the revision, I decided from the start to raise the crease! During the consultation, I also said I wanted my eyes to look bigger and the outer corners to slope down a little so I could have that puppy-like eye shape, haha. I said I wanted as much widening as possible too Before the consultation, honestly, I was worried a lot like, “What if it gets too much again?” But the director checked my eye condition so carefully that I felt a bit reassured. They checked things like the distance between my eyes, the space available for widening, and the ratio of visible pupil, and even looked at it with a device to explain how much would be possible with my current eyes. Rather than giving a vibe of “we can do anything,” they were realistic and said clearly what could and couldn’t be done, which made me trust them more. The surgery included incision plus ptosis correction, and they said they needed to adjust the eye-opening strength too in order to get the clear look I wanted! But right after surgery, I wasn't as swollen as I expected, so I thought, “Huh? For revision surgery, this is better than I thought?” Then the next day the swelling shot up like crazy lol I was really shocked every morning when I looked in the mirror Still, when I sent photos to the clinic that did my revision, they kept checking on me and explained the swelling well, so I think that reduced my anxiety. I kept up with warm compresses and walked a lot. Getting swelling-management treatments in between also seemed to help! It took me almost two months for the major swelling to go down. If you naturally swell easily, it may take longer than for other people. At one point the crease looked too high and I kept worrying by myself that maybe I had ruined it lol, but as time passed, it settled and started looking natural. Around three months in, I felt like, ah, this is the final look! Honestly, when I said I wanted a higher crease and full widening, my friends all warned me that it would probably look too much lol But after seeing the result, they said it was glamorous but not overwhelming. They also said my eyes became much clearer but still suited my face well, so my satisfaction went up even more It really feels like the aesthetic balance of the eyes matters a lot.. The incision line is still slightly red if you look closely, but thankfully there is almost no scarring, and they said it would fade more if I keep moisturizing well, so I’m continuing to apply eye cream! If anyone is thinking about revision surgery, don’t be too scared and go somewhere that carefully checks how far your own eyes can be taken..
