I was someone who had a really hard time because of the round nose + aquiline nose combination T_T I used to just live with it, but once I started paying attention to it, it was all I could see... Especially from the front, I hated how spread out it looked T_T Even the side profile felt somehow not smooth, so it was a subtle source of stress! At its worst, I was even thinking about my nose in my dreams T_T so I spent a really long time debating rhinoplasty! I think I searched for this community's reviews every single day!! My mom kept scolding me a lot, asking why I would do it when my nose looked fine, but T_T I kept thinking that if I was going to keep worrying and feeling stressed, it would be better to just get nose surgery, so I decided to do it!! Honestly, I did not want an overly flashy style, but after looking through revision surgery reviews, it seemed like a lot of people ultimately went with autologous costal cartilage?? So because I wanted to get it right the first time, I had it done with autologous costal cartilage at DDAY! One reason I chose autologous costal cartilage was because there were so many discussions about tip support and long-term durability haha When I told the surgeon the look I wanted during the consultation, I remember him setting the overall direction in a very realistic way! I showed him a photo of Minji from NewJeans and said I wanted a straight-but-slightly-raised line that looked natural rather than too glamorous! It is now 2 weeks post-op and I still have some minor swelling left! But once the major swelling went down, I was surprised that the line showed up faster than I expected! In particular, the tip that looked spread out from the front feels a bit more organized, so it looks much less blunt than before T_T The side profile is also turning into the straight-but-slightly-raised look I wanted! The nose tip still feels firm, but overall recovery has been easier than I worried it would be, and the autologous costal cartilage scar is also much less visible than I expected, which is a relief! It is still in the settling-in stage at 2 weeks, but so far the line and overall look seem to be settling in smoothly haha
