Tips from 20 clinic visits for a contracted nose

Clickbait, sorry;; but I really do have a useful tip. For my first surgery, I had silicone inserted while claiming to correct a hump nose, but I ended up unhappy with the shape and it kept changing over time... I developed contracture and had revision surgery with no implant + autologous costal cartilage. Look at the photos. I swear I’ve never scrutinized something this carefully in my life. 1. After the first surgery, check whether they actually care about the shape. People who’ve been through it know this: after surgery, some places just go silent, haha. There are so many hospitals with that kind of attitude, right? I didn’t want to get burned again, so I checked whether they take responsibility for preventing tip deformity too (please go to a place that provides a warranty). 2. Check whether their aesthetic sense matches mine, please Don’t go just because they’re famous; please see whether it matches *my* taste I went to a place that showed predicted results after surgery, and the design was roughly similar to what they had shown me then. In fact, after surgery, the columella looked a bit rounder, which I liked even more, but it seems the doctor couldn’t make the columella round through adjustment lol 3. Before opening the autologous costal cartilage, check whether they test it first. The idea that they would check whether the cartilage had hardened or not was so unfamiliar to me. I didn’t even know they did that. But when I went in for consultation, they tested it right away...?? That was great. No, I saw this elsewhere, but reading that they opened the autologous costal cartilage, found calcification, and then closed it again without proceeding was shocking...... It really is better to test in advance... (but if the result is bad, they said they recommend a different material.) Because revision surgery for a contracted nose is so difficult, I think it’s important to set your standards really high when visiting clinics, to the point that it feels excessive.... That way you can at least come out average. Everyone who does cosmetic surgery should remember this... Your standards have to be high if you want average results...
