I got double eyelid surgery in 3rd grade of middle school through a friend's recommendation. Right after surgery it looked natural but felt puffy and heavy (it was because of ptosis, but they did not do the eye correction that was needed). Before a year even passed, the right eye was on the verge of loosening. Not long after, the left eye was in the same situation. I heard things like “You look stupid,” “Open your eyes,” “Are you sleepy?” “Your eyes will sag so much they’ll become vertical” until I was sick of hearing them. Is this a heaven for meddlesome people or what? One friend who had surgery here had one eye loosen and just lived with asymmetrical eyes, and another got buried sutures plus eye correction somewhere else. Five years later, at the consultation, I realized I only needed eye correction. But I didn't know that, so I asked them to redo the double eyelid line. That hurt the director's pride and his words and behavior started getting weird. “The line is pretty, what’s the problem?” He handed me a toothpick and said, “Then you try drawing the line.” At that time my mom did not go into the consultation room with me. I was holding a mirror in one hand and trying to shape it with a toothpick in the other, while he kept glaring at me from the front. It didn't go well. The director sighed, “Ha...” took the mirror away, and suddenly started designing my eye with a black marker before going into the surgery room. He looked angry to anyone. Result: the revision surgery was a total disaster. Because of one wrong choice, I spent my early 20s in tears. Right after the revision surgery, the director said, “Why is there so much bruising?” It became even more asymmetrical lol. Before that, at least the line was pretty, but now the line itself became insanely weird. I went to school with ugly eyes. Six months later I went back to the same director. I went with my dad and wanted a good consultation, and my mom said, “If my younger brother only gets a very thin double eyelid surgery, it seems like it would be fine, so you should at least get a consultation.” Why did my mom say that? Since my dad and younger brother came with me, the person on the paper started glaring at me like crazy? Our appointment consultation got delayed by two hours. They just told us to wait and pushed us to the very last slot. While we were waiting, the manager kept walking back and forth glaring at me. I still didn't know why, but because I brought two men with me, they thought I had come to complain to the hospital and kept glaring, then moved us to the very last time slot. The director started with his usual sharp, argumentative attitude. He and my dad ended up shouting and fighting.. Why is he panicking so hard? I had never once thought about demanding accountability. All I wanted was to solve the problem. What the director said to my dad was, “You’re the reason your daughter is weird too.” According to the director, I had become some obsessive, extreme kid who only fixated on double eyelids. In the end, they concluded that my whole family had problems and kicked us out. One of the things the director said was, “To fix the problem you’re talking about, you need eye correction.” Maybe he got angry in advance because he thought we'd ask him to do it for free as aftercare. Then why didn't he do it properly from the start? When we asked that, he shouted that in the past it wasn't serious enough to need eye correction. Sigh.. Anyway, I finally had a third revision surgery at another hospital and it was a success.
