I had double eyelid surgery at Hong Sung-ju 8 years ago. I wanted to do epicanthoplasty at the same time, but after measuring the width between my eyes with a ruler, they said it wasn't necessary and didn't push me, which I appreciated. I went in knowing nothing, but the consultation was so kind that I felt drawn in. Since I didn't set a specific line before surgery and was told the director would take care of it, I ended up with in-out double eyelids, and they suit my eyes well so I'm satisfied. Maybe because the director's style is to make the line thicker, it took a long time for the swelling to fully go down and for it to look natural. Even after the swelling was gone, it did not become as thin as an inner fold, and I liked that. Unless I say something, people can't tell I had surgery. But maybe because my eyes were naturally uneven, it seems they definitely made the line on the smaller side thicker, yet once the swelling went down, that double eyelid became even smaller, so I could not escape having uneven eyes. It is not strange or anything; in its own way it looks natural and more like my own eyes, so I just live with it.
