I had normal pseudoptosis and did not even need ptosis correction, but they insisted that I absolutely had to get ptosis correction, so I trusted them and had surgery. Then one side became overcorrected and the other undercorrected, so the amount of pupil exposure became uneven. On top of side effects like severe pulling in the eyes and stabbing headaches, my eyes would not close properly, and even at a young age I developed severe vertical wrinkles under my eyes, as if they had been cut with a knife. In addition, there are very severe double-eyelid scars, sausage-like eyes, uneven double-eyelid lines, and issues with line height and the fold, so there is not just one or two things I dislike. The scars are so severe and wide that when I consulted other clinics, people asked whether I really had only one surgery... which clinic I had gone to, and I was told it was so large that it could not all be cut out. Even people around me ask where I had surgery, so they can avoid it. I do not understand why I trusted someone who just pressed on my forehead and loosely diagnosed ptosis. Even during the consultation, I honestly had doubts.. It is a surgery with severe side effects, and it is difficult because not many people know how to do it properly, so I regret so much trusting them because of their experience. I canceled the deposit I had placed at a clinic with a younger doctor and chose this clinic because of the experience, but I painfully realized that surgical experience and skill are not proportional. At first I thought maybe it was because the doctor was old and their hand was shaking, but the more I looked into it, the more I found out they had been like this for a long time, and I feel so upset that I entrusted my precious body to someone like that. Come to think of it, they do not only do one or two kinds of surgery but spread themselves thin across everything, and it seems like they are not truly good at any of them... And the funny thing is, during surgery they brought in another doctor without my consent and taught them, but if they have no ability to teach anyone, what on earth were they doing... I was truly stunned. Instead of spending time promoting themselves on TV and YouTube, they should have been improving their surgical skills... As the saying goes, a loud cart is empty, and that really seems to fit. And it is just a clinic that does not even have the basics down. I got the surgical record for another clinic's revision surgery, and they really had not written anything down. Important details like the millimeter width of the double-eyelid line, what method and how much ptosis correction would be done, and the amount of skin to be excised were completely missing; it was basically just an empty piece of paper. And regarding this, they did not admit any wrongdoing at all, acting as if it was completely natural. If I ask a few questions about what I was dissatisfied with, they say I am picking a fight, and even while the patient is speaking they laugh and open the door and leave. Other reviews show that there are people who had the same experience as me. The manager was the same. At first, when I was worried about the side effects of ptosis correction, they sneered at me, saying I had even had nose surgery, so why was I afraid of ptosis correction, and they also pressured me hard about the deposit, which made me feel very unpleasant. When I later revisited to consult with the director and obtain the surgical records, they responded similarly. When I said the scars bothered me, they made the ridiculous argument that you cannot see scars when you open your eyes, treated me like someone who did not even know where the double-eyelid incision line was, and so on.. I know the manager consultation is worthless, but it is one more reason to avoid the clinic when choosing one. Before this, I strongly trusted doctors because they were experts and valued their opinions. But after going through this experience, honestly all that respect and trust is gone. More precisely, I do not even want to treat a plastic surgeon as a doctor. Would they really have done this if the patient had been their own child? Because it was just someone else, they probably removed tissue however they wanted and did the design carelessly. Come to think of it, I remember the design being finished in about one minute. Those reading this, at the very least, please choose a doctor who treats the patient's tissue carefully and has the minimum conscience not to see them as nothing but meat for making money. I do not want any more surgery, but the only thing left to do here would be to go under the knife again, which is so contradictory. And they say that for revision surgery success, the amount of tissue left after the first surgery matters... After consultations at several clinics, I can feel that my current condition is not good, and I feel truly bleak. These days they seem to be mainly promoting surgery for middle-aged patients, and I am worried that people my mother's age would not really know that this community exists.
