*Review from consultation to surgery*
I had a consultation appointment at 3 PM on December 20, 2022, and visited that day. Maybe because there were a lot of people, I ended up having my consultation about 40 to 45 minutes later than the scheduled time. They made me wait endlessly without telling me why it was delayed, so when I went to the desk and asked, they said in an insincere tone and with an indifferent expression that consultations were backed up and it would probably be a little delayed. I debated whether to just leave the clinic, but since I had taken the time to come, I waited and had the consultation.
A manager named Jung Hee-jin started the consultation, then the doctor in charge of breast augmentation continued it. He measured my breast size, checked the maximum amount that could be inserted, and then left in a very curt manner.
At that point, I should have gone for consultations at other clinics too. Because it felt bothersome to go around getting consultations here and there, on December 29 at 3:30 PM, I was told my breast pocket was 12 and that up to 375 cc was possible, so I booked Mentor Smooth 375 cc, paid everything, and went home. (*If anyone else is planning breast surgery, I sincerely, truly recommend that you *absolutely* go to 2 or 3 places for consultations!!! I don’t think there are many people like me, but just in case there are people with a similar tendency, I’m saying this. Still, the reason I chose this place was because I liked the breast shape the most, and I liked that there was no drain and no need to wear a compression bra. (And I had only come after seeing reviews saying the doctor was good haha) After finishing the consultation and booking the surgery, if I had questions and requested a consultation from the manager in charge via KakaoTalk, the replies were really slow, so I ended up not asking things I wanted to ask. Also, the surgery time available was later than I had expected, so I asked them to contact me in advance if the person scheduled before me canceled. But only on the day of surgery did they tell me the person before me had canceled and to come if I could come early, so I went 1 hour earlier than originally scheduled and had surgery at 2:30.
When I entered the operating room and two anesthesiology staff were preparing for surgery, I felt a level of kindness I hadn’t felt at this clinic until then, so I was at least somewhat reassured. That’s because I thought that since even the anesthesiology staff were kind, there probably wouldn’t be any unexpected accident.
After the surgery, I rested in the recovery room right next to the operating room. The surgery took about 2 hours, and after staying in the recovery room for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, I was discharged with a pain-control injection pump attached.
Oh! And when I was discharged, I needed parking validation, so I asked them to register my parking. They said they could only do 1 hour, but they put in 2 hours for someone else, so when I asked why we could only get 1 hour, they added 30 more minutes, but their expression looked like they were forcing themselves to do something they didn’t want to do. I can’t believe the desk staff were this unfriendly...
Paying everything in advance before surgery was the wrong choice. Since there was no amount to pay on the day, it seemed like they didn’t provide parking validation. Everyone else, after consultation, please only pay the reservation deposit and pay the remaining surgery balance on the surgery day^^ That way they’ll probably validate your parking.
They said I could eat 2 hours after discharge, so I ate Vietnamese spring rolls and pho, even watched the Avatar movie, and then went home. Maybe because of the pain-control injection pump, it didn’t hurt, but it was inconvenient because I had to carry it around. I wanted to remove it right away, but just in case, I removed it the next evening.
Because I have a job where I can’t rest for long, I went to work from day 2 after surgery. Since I went from having no breasts to having them, there was a feeling of them being in the way and a stiff soreness like I had done an intense chest workout the day before? It was only a muscle-ache-like pain, so it wasn’t difficult or anything!! They told me to come remove the stitches one week after surgery, so I have to go again soon,, sigh Oh!! And they recommended an aftercare package, so I did add it!! Because there could be unexpected side effects and scarring.
