It seems like it has been about 5 years. At the time I was dissatisfied with my cheekbones, and since it seemed safer than bone surgery, I had surgery to remove cheek fat. Right after the surgery the right side felt fine, but the left cheekbone area ached like a toothache. During the dressing changes, a small blister formed, and while healing I watched the progress, but it sank in a little. The hospital actively and consistently treated me, but I had to stop because my skin hurt too much, and now there is almost no visible scar. Still, I spent a lot of time worrying about it, and for all that effort I did not feel a dramatic result.
