Eye Surgery Considerations

Riting Review

It is so bad that I want a refund. My mother had the consultation and surgery there. They said the lift would be 7.80 percent and told her to make the choice herself, but they did not explain with confidence where, how, and by what principle they would do it; they only spoke vaguely, and if I asked more specifically, they told me to ask the consultant;; I was very anxious, so when I asked them to tell me exactly where and how the surgery would be done, they said, if you cannot trust us that much, why are you doing it? Looking back, that person had a smiling face, so I thought they looked nice, but later during the complaint consultation, even when I expressed dissatisfaction, they just kept smiling, had zero empathy, and if you listened to the conversation, there was no substance at all. They did not explain the surgical site clearly either. So I thought it was bad, but because she had been stressed for a long time and they said they would give a discount, she ended up having the surgery.. During surgery, they started immediately without any extra explanation while designing, and when she was lying on the table asking questions, the doctor was telling someone to hurry up and put her to sleep.. If the results were good, I could accept that, but the aftercare was also a complete mess. What is the point of having CCTV if they will not show it? haha

In the end, when I looked at the incision site after surgery, they had made it in front of the ear. Later I learned that they usually make the incision inside the ear canal? so the surgical site is as invisible as possible. Here, it is way too obvious. Scar tissue also formed, and even after more than a year it has not gone away. I guess they thought she would not do it if they told her the surgery location, because they would not explain it properly, and the result makes me so upset.

Because I filed a complaint, they kept telling me to wait, saying things like come back after 1 month, after 3 months, and only after 1 month could I meet the doctor. They said I had to wait 3 months to see the result, so I put up with it and went, but as expected there was almost no difference from before. We have photos we took, but they kept saying there was a difference.. There is a difference, of course. The skin itself did get a bit thicker than before, but the problem is that the ear became a knife ear. Thinking back, they only said they would do a good lift, but they never explained that they would do an SMAS lift or how the SMAS principle works haha. They were supposed to pull the SMAS, but they pulled the skin instead, so a knife ear formed and the wound opened up, leaving a severe mark. When I complained about keloid, they said this did not even count as a scar, and with keloids, if you do not treat them quickly with injections or laser, they can scar badly, so they need treatment. They said it was not necessary, but after I kept pressing them, they gave one injection and did a little laser before stopping. In the end, after a year, one side had a bigger scar than the other. And around the 5-month mark, when I complained that there was no effect, they did some procedures like InMode, but even that did not work. Eventually they seemed tired of it too, kept not replying, then brought out a consent form saying they would do a replacement procedure just this once and that I should never bring it up again, and told me to stop complaining further. They said they would never refund anything and that they had done nothing wrong. They said they would do a revision surgery, but you need skill to trust someone with that. I asked to see the face of someone who had already had revision surgery, but they refused, claiming privacy rights. Later, when I went to another clinic for a consultation, they showed everything I asked for, and after looking at my mother’s scar, the doctor said it was a knife ear and that they either operated incorrectly, did not pull the SMAS enough compared to the skin, or pulled the skin too hard, which would cause quick sagging again and knife ear.

There were so many complaint cases that when we went in for the consultation, they even had a bodyguard there, which they had not had before haha. And the waiting time is extremely long. Maybe because there are so many complaint cases, or even if you make a reservation and go, you still have to wait at least an hour longer. It is like a chaotic market, absolutely terrible.

In the end, I went to several places for revision consultations, and because she currently has thread lifting and filler in place (they said at Riting that to get the lift you want, you have to put in all kinds of threads and filler), it is affecting the revision, so it looks like I will have to pay more too. They kept saying it was not knife ear and only dodging with ridiculous excuses, which made me so angry. Please be very careful and choose wisely. I cannot recommend their thread lifting procedure either (even with that, the threads protruded outside the cheek area). The lift surgery is not recommended.

---------------------------- Even now, years later, my mother still says her ears hurt when touched. There was no effect long ago. The scar tissue and knife ear have only gotten worse. Please do not go. This place needs to shut down. They never do aftercare, and once surgery is done, that is it. Pre-op design? Haha, you do not even get to see the doctor before surgery. They absolutely do not show CCTV. They treat complaint customers like dangerous criminals, bringing bodyguards and having the doctor deny everything to the end. If you go to other clinics, there are basically no doctors who do not know this person. A place that has produced many revision patients. The managers in charge keep quitting and being replaced. The doctor seems to have psychopathic tendencies. This is a person who treats surgery like entertainment. Do not regret it and do not go.
