Please keep in mind that with mouth-corner surgery, the corners of the mouth do rise that much, but scars never truly disappear, and if you want to remove them, you need another procedure or something else.. It seems scars are still hard to improve. It has been 2 years, but the white scar has not disappeared at all; if anything, it has become even more noticeable. Since the mouth is a part that moves a lot when speaking, smiling, and moving, the skin inevitably gets pulled every time you smile, and even though I spent about a year after surgery trying very hard not to scar, the scar that shows up later is not a raised scar but a white scar visible along the incision line. Even laser treatment afterward does not remove it. You would just have to cut it out again, or the hospital says they did everything they could.. Scars are honestly more stressful than I expected. Seriously, if you are not someone who feels like you would die without mouth-corner surgery, please be very careful. Even if you cover the white scar with concealer, there is a limit.. I am now looking into several hospitals for scar removal. White scars are different from scars that appear after one or two months. You know the kind of scar you get when flat skin is cut with a knife? Like an incision scar from double eyelid surgery. Think of that appearing at the mouth corners.. It is more visible when you smile.. The scar shows more when the mouth corners are lifted. Please consider that carefully. This is probably not just a problem with this one place. The scars from a few months after mouth-corner surgery are nothing, and only after 1 to 2 years do the white scars become clear enough for you to understand what I mean..
