My friend had a natural double-eyelid surgery here, so it was added to my list of possible clinics for my own double-eyelid consultation, and I went after reserving a consultation time by phone. You can only see the doctor if you set a surgery date. The manager was kind. Consultation is done in the first-floor area that is open only to the manager. (So I could not give a rating for the doctor's kindness, but the friend who had double-eyelid surgery here said the doctor was kind_ however, I do not know) Unfortunately, there is no separate consultation room. While waiting, I could hear everyone else's consultation content and my consultation content was also heard by everyone sitting in the same space haha
Even if I had to pay a small consultation fee, I would have liked it if I could have met the director face to face, shown my eyes, and had even a brief consultation.
Since the director himself does the actual surgery, I personally find it hard to trust a double-eyelid method recommended by a manager for eyes I have to live with for the rest of my life.
I was imagining: what if on the day of surgery the director recommends a different method?
I was recommended (incision - upper canthoplasty - ptosis correction) by the manager. She said my eyes were sunken. (At other hospitals, they said my eyes were protruding, and that if I wanted something natural, just the non-incision method would be enough, so I got confused and worried again)
When I said I wanted the most natural-looking subtle inner double eyelid, the answer was that if I was going to spend the money anyway, they recommended making a pretty double eyelid rather than trying to make it invisible haha
While adjusting my eye line this way and that, they showed me how the upper part opens up like this if upper canthoplasty is done, and that tempted me. So I started worrying even more.
Then I was thinking about the surgery date, but since I thought it would be hard to decide right away, I asked whether I could call later. They said surgery reservations are only possible by visiting the clinic in person. (I had gone from another region to Seomyeon, Busan, so that method felt burdensome and I did not understand it. Why could the surgery date not be reserved by phone? I wondered whether a deposit transfer would not be enough...)
Anyway, to think about it more, I said goodbye and left the clinic.
Separately, the staff member guiding the order of steps kept standing the whole time, and I thought her legs must hurt.. It did not seem like she absolutely had to keep standing either, so I thought it would be better if they gave her a chair and let her wait seated..
