I had functional and cosmetic nose tip surgery around December last year. The functional part has made breathing very difficult. I have hyperventilation symptoms, paradoxical nasal obstruction, the septum was not corrected, and because I breathe too fast, the inside of my nose gets dry. Before the surgery, I was happy when I had rhinitis. Back then I only had rhinitis occasionally, and there were no problems at all in daily life or during exercise.
Now I feel lethargic and breathing is very difficult, and I keep breathing through my mouth; when I breathe through my nose, I become conscious of my breathing. All day long.
Cosmetic part
When I look at the before-and-after photos, I do not know what changed. In fact, the cosmetic result got worse in some areas. If there had been no real change, I would just have been disappointed and left it at that.. But both functionally and cosmetically, the part I am unhappy with is the columella. The columella curled inward centered on the open incision.
Even though they used support and lifted the nose tip with multiple maneuvers, there is no difference from before. Doctors at other hospitals said the same thing.
The heads of other hospitals also had the same opinion as mine. They said they could not understand why they used rotation grafting to make my original long nose even longer. They also said that cosmetically, my original nose had been prettier and better. But now, after the surgery, it has worsened functionally and cosmetically, and I deeply regret going there myself and having surgery at [Clinic A].
