Eye Surgery Considerations

Hanabi review from a community

I went for a consultation. The hospital has a flashy kind of interior. The staff did not feel very friendly; their low voices did not give a sense of friendliness. There was a bit of a wait. The doctor's consultation was also very calm. They took a CT scan to look at the internal structure, and since what matters to me is function, I was told that I would need autologous rib cartilage harvest and reconstruction. I wanted to hear the method in more detail, but instead of details they spoke more in broad strokes... so because of that, I felt hesitant about whether the functional improvement would really be certain. And the cost came out higher than I expected, probably because it is a revision surgery... Somehow it felt a little commercial rather than like they were thinking from the patient's perspective, worrying about me, and suggesting a method, so I think I need to think carefully about whether to have the surgery.
