I went for a nose consultation. Since it was my first surgery, they looked inside my nose with an endoscope and kept adding things like a deviated septum and uneven nostrils, then quoted me 700 or 800. Is that normal for a first surgery? They said the functional part would be covered by insurance and told me to look into it, and even with insurance the amount I would pay would be around 500. Later, after speaking with the doctor, I separately told the manager that my nasal bridge already seemed to be fairly high and I did not think it was necessary, but they said, "No? In my opinion, you should get it." They kept recommending unnecessary surgery and did not listen to my opinion very well. Just in case, I went to an ENT clinic, and they said I did have a deviated septum, but not to the extent that it needed correction.
