Incision surgery was recommended because I have droopy eyes, with eyelid tissue removal and fat removal, plus eye correction. If I did the buried-suture method, they said it would come undone within a year and there would be no after-service.
They started by taking a photo of my face before the consultation. They marked the line, and said that if the metal pin used to mark the line were removed, the double eyelid would come undone right away, so even with buried sutures there was a high chance it would loosen within a year. Because of my droopy eyes, they said they would need to cut away eyelid skin, and because one eye does not open well, I would also need eye correction so the eyes would open better. They said incision surgery would make the eyes look prettier. For eye correction, if the height is different after surgery, they can do another adjustment to raise or lower it. They said they would use sleep anesthesia plus local anesthesia, and when they wake me up to mark the line, they would ask me to open my eyes. The price was said to be the same whether paying by card or cash: 3 million won. They said it was a one-person clinic specializing in revision surgery and eye correction.
I did feel the expertise and kindness more strongly than at other clinics, but since another clinic said buried sutures were possible and I wanted buried sutures, I passed.. If I end up needing incision surgery, I might consider it again.
