I went for a consultation! The clinic was quiet, and I had heard that the doctor would use ear cartilage, but they said they could also use the septum if I wanted. They said that even with ear cartilage alone, they would reinforce it in two layers so it would not sag. Since they would not use the septum, there would be no functional issue, which sounds good, but I also wonder whether it is really possible to maintain the tip of the nose with ear cartilage alone.. I am torn.
