I went in for a consultation about inner canthoplasty revision. For the revision surgery, they used the most common method, V-Y reconstruction. I had what I was told was upper canthoplasty, but when I later consulted another hospital, they said there were traces of inner canthoplasty and that it was basically the same as having had inner canthoplasty. Anyway, there are parts of the revision I am satisfied with and parts I am not. What I am satisfied with is the degree to which the inner eye corner opening is closed and its shape. What I am not satisfied with is the scar. They provided one laser treatment as a service, but the scar did not improve. Other people probably would not notice it, but I know the scar is there. Still, it is stressful enough that I am considering opening it up again.
