Long ago, due to improper contact lens wear, the muscle that opens the eyes was damaged, and an eye clinic recommended ptosis correction surgery. After the ophthalmology clinic wrote the diagnosis letter, I had surgery with Dr. Park Seong-geun at Joseph Plastic Surgery (1.8 million won). The ptosis correction was successful and I was very satisfied for a long time, but as the fat in the upper eyelids disappeared, my eyes started feeling like they were hard to open again, and my eyes felt very tired, so I visited again (about 6 years later). Rather than reoperation, they recommended fat grafting to the upper eyelids, and I went ahead with that (600,000 won). Fat was extracted from the abdomen and injected with a syringe. It was done on both eyes together for balance, but the eye that had been hard to open developed a lump from overinjection of fat, so when I close my eyes it bulges out. When I open my eyes it looks normal, so I'm just living with it. I was very satisfied with the double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction, but I am not satisfied with the upper-eyelid fat grafting.. The hospital's response was not great either (they said it was because I gained weight and that there was no problem).
