I confirmed my appointment by phone the day before. The person in charge had made a slight mistake with the reservation, so it was changed again. On the day itself, while I was on the way there, they said the surgery had run long and that consultation was not possible. Thanks to that, it got removed from my list. If I had been from out of town, I would have been really pissed.... Just so you know.
