After seeing an acquaintance who had candy canthoplasty, I had a consultation and went ahead with natural adhesion and candy canthoplasty. These days double eyelid surgery has become so common that honestly I think one place is basically the same as another, and doctors' skill levels are too. Still, what I remember most is that at another hospital they said my eyelids were likely to loosen easily, so they suggested an incision. But at K, they said if I did an incision, it would be hard to do revision surgery if it really did loosen later, and that my eyes were not even the kind that would loosen that much. They said it would be better to do a slight ptosis correction instead. But honestly, I do not know whether they actually did the ptosis correction or not.. Anyway, I understand candy canthoplasty to be a procedure that differs from ordinary canthoplasty because it creates a wound and pulls without making an incision, and perhaps because of that, I have been doing well without side effects or discomfort. Of course, there is some angulation, but it does not bother me much. If I stared in the mirror all day, it might bother me though haha
