I had a facial bone consultation with Director Yoon Chang-woon. It wasn't a double-jaw case, but he recommended front chin + square jaw + ASO. I also asked about osteotomy methods, but he said any osteotomy is the same and it doesn't mean anything. He said chin lengthening wasn't necessary, and that we should reduce the width a little and move it forward. If doing ASO, he said to advance 5 to 6 mm, and if not, to advance 8 mm.
For the square jaw, he said to just lightly refine it along the second angle line and advised against cortical bone resection. I also asked about midface volume, but because I'm male, he advised against adding volume, and said to consider buccal fat removal and liposuction after 3 months. The protruding mouth makes the philtrum look long. The scar tissue is inside the mouth, so it shouldn't be a big concern.
The consultation content was so different from other hospitals that I'm still debating surgery. The consultation manager was very nice.
