The reason for revision surgery is to organize the multiple creases from loosening and sunken eyes into one line, and to make my eyes look less sleepy. I visited around 5 places for consultations, and I like the final 2 clinics, but both recommend the same things and the prices are almost the same, so I’m really torn..
1. ㄱㄹㄷ - ㅇㅁㅊ
Surgical method: incision + ptosis correction + inner/upper epicanthoplasty Review-writing condition: X Separate postoperative care: X Revision/AS possible up to 1 year Anesthesia: sedation + local
I liked that both the consultant and the director examined me sincerely. The reason I was worried was that ptosis correction or inner epicanthoplasty could become excessive or cause side effects. When I asked about lagophthalmos, they said it can happen right after surgery, but as the swelling goes down, it gradually comes down and becomes okay. Regarding overcorrection, they said they could not do that even if I asked them to. They also said the purpose of the inner epicanthoplasty is not to lengthen the eyes, but to address the Mongolian fold causing the front part of the line to be hidden, so my impression would not change excessively or anything like that. The line they designed was fine too, and when I looked through premium reviews in this community and searched here and there, I did not really see any serious side-effect reviews or negative reviews. (Of course, I may just not have found them.. or the clinic may have had them taken down...) Anyway, I liked them in many ways, so this is the clinic I kept in mind after my first consultation.
2. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ - ㅇㅈㅇ
Surgical method: incision + ptosis correction + inner/upper epicanthoplasty Review-writing condition: O Postoperative care: swelling laser, pumpkin juice, heat/cold pack Revision/AS possible up to 1 year Anesthesia: sedation + local
Here too, both the consultant and the director examined me sincerely. They said inner/upper epicanthoplasty is not essential. But if I asked, “What do you think would look prettier on me?” they said they would recommend it. When I said I was worried my impression would become too strong or fierce, they said my current intercanthal distance is 36 mm and the average for Korean women is around 34 mm, so I probably do not need to worry too much about that part. I said I was worried about mucosal eversion and lagophthalmos, and they gave almost the same answer as ㄱㄹㄷ: it can happen in the beginning, but gradually comes down. They also answered that if ptosis correction becomes overcorrected, early correction is possible, so I do not need to worry too much. The line they designed including inner/upper epicanthoplasty was pretty, and I liked it! But although it is ambiguous to call it a large clinic, the clinic is very busy, so I’m concerned.. Anyway, I like this one too, so I’m deciding between these two.
Both directors are specialists, and their experience is similar. There are occasional reviews saying both have many brokers..^^ and the price range is honestly exactly the same. Besides these, I went for consultations at ㅇㅇㅂ(100), ㅋㄹㅁ, and ㅇㅅㅎㅇㄴ, but they were just.. so-so.. If it were you, everyone, where would you choose? And if anyone here has had surgery there, I’m hoping you could share a review, so I’m posting this.. Please help me..
