I arrived about 30 minutes earlier than my reserved time, and there were a few people there. I think I went in a little earlier than my appointment time. The clinic had more of a cozy feeling overall rather than a sleek, modern one, and I liked that more. After I went in and sat down, the director came in soon after, and in general he was warm and friendly. He was also quite confident. He said they do not offer aftercare, and that there had never really been a need for it, and he spoke as if each eye already has its own direction it needs to go. Honestly, I'm a timid person, so even if the chance is small, I prefer it when they explain possible side effects and are careful. And since they said there is no aftercare at all, I did not feel completely at ease... Still, considering the director's experience and the reviews from acquaintances, I don't doubt his skill.
I had printed out the things I wanted to discuss for the consultation and showed them to him. He did not go over them very thoroughly, but he still answered after giving them at least a quick look, which I appreciated. I had been worried because I had been diagnosed with ptosis at a previous clinic, but Director Yeom Won-seok said there was no ptosis and emphasized that, more than anything, I use my forehead a lot, so after surgery my appearance could end up looking quite different from what I imagine. Still, he said about one third of consultation patients do not get much benefit from surgery, but that I might see an effect and that this was not a difficult case, which reassured me. He showed me the recommended double-eyelid line, as well as how it would look if placed higher or lower on both eyes, and later let me look with my mask off so I could see the face as a whole. The recommended line was not bad, but because I personally felt that double eyelids would not suit me, I liked the predicted result of browpexy more. He said browpexy was also closer to the functional improvement I wanted, so the consultation ended with a simpler conclusion than I expected, and later, while talking with the manager, I learned that the original skeletal position of both eyebrows would remain the same after surgery, which is obvious, but it was something I had not thought about, so I was grateful they pointed it out.
